Description
It encompasses 3,893 hectares and at least 4 kilometers of trails between the El Cedral property (Manizales) and the Gallinazo hamlet (Villamaría), offering a glimpse into the recovery of this secondary, humid forest over the 60 years it has been a protected natural area.
Moss, that vast reservoir of velvety vegetation, is everywhere, and in the background, the sound of the Chinchiná River announces its passage.
As for wildlife, this area, located in Manizales and adjacent to the Torre 4 Forest Reserve, is home to everything from rabbits to a puma, indicating the presence of other mammals that serve as prey.
