Termales del Ruiz Hotel

Located in Villamaría, this route is 90 minutes from the city of Manizales via Magdalena with a turnoff at the Parador La Esperanza towards the Los Nevados National Natural Park. The Termales Hotel is at an altitude of 3,500 m with high Andean forests where it is possible to observe a variety of birds such as hummingbirds and mountain tanagers in the gardens and other species at the feeders. On the return trip, a stop is made at Laguna Negra. This route has a potential of 115 species of birds.

The Termales del Ruiz Hotel was built in 1937 and, since 2014, has been operated in partnership with the Carretero Hotel, striving to create a space that lives in harmony with the beautiful surrounding environment, abundant with water, clean air, and the unique vegetation of the magical páramo.
