Description
Arví Park is a 1,761-hectare open public park within the Nare River reserve, where native and plantation forests converge. It encompasses territories of several municipalities in the department of Antioquia, including Bello, Copacabana, Guarne, and Medellín.
It is conceived as a strategy to promote new and necessary forms of land use, through the utilization of environmental goods and services in the pursuit of sustainability, thus becoming a living classroom for environmental and cultural education. It is also considered within land-use planning as a natural barrier between urban and rural areas.
Arví Park is not just a territory; it is a comprehensive action unit encompassing urban planning, economic, social, and environmental aspects, aimed at offering the market a sustainable and participatory tourism offering (attractions, facilities, and infrastructure) in order to achieve the appreciation, protection, and conservation of the environmental and cultural diversity of the area.
Arví territory, as well as the development of its communities, contributing positively to the reversal of global climate change.
